Fridge Manager

The Fridge Manager IR Bottle Fridge can save 33% of the energy used for back bar bottle fridges, in a pub or much greater savings when used in night clubs/function rooms that are not used 7 days a week.

The Fridge Manager is a small device, using an infrared (IR) detector which turns off the fridge when there is no movement detected behind the bar.

It therefore operates and saves energy irrespective of an outlet’s opening times.

A standard back bar bottle fridge uses around £190 per year in energy costs and there are multiple fridges in every bar.

Given that a pub is closed for an average of 12 hours per day, it is possible to turn off each bottle fridge for an average of 8 hours per day, saving in the region of £62 per fridge per annum.

When used in clubs or sites where the bar is not open every day, it can save a lot more energy depending on opening times. On trials it has saved £107 per fridge per annum.
